Sydney Camerata Chamber Orchestra was formed in 2008 with the aim of nurturing and promoting the talents of some of Australia's finest young string players. We have presented over a dozen concert within Sydney and look forward to reaching out to regional NSW on our upcoming tour.

Sydney Camerata is comprised of young professional musicians and post-graduate music students. Our ensemble proudly supports emerging Australian composers through our annual Composition Competition and composer-performer workshops.

In 2010, Sydney Camerata were awarded the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award. The ensemble partners with 2MBS-FM- Sydney's fine music station, and receives the kind support of Ars Musica Australis and the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust.
